I have looked into that user as you suggested, but there is not a user in our system by that name. In fact there are no new users since we hired Thomas to IT. There is no email account MITBH@aitis.org either.

What do you mean there is no email account by that name? No less than 10 employees received an email from a @aitis account, and you’re saying no such account exists? Then who the hell sent us an email? Do an IP lookup or something, I need to know who that is!

The IP source appears to be our own server. I am looping in Kumar to this discussion, given the code in question seems to have come from her. Did you give permission to the servers to send emails?

To answer your question, yes, I did write code for emailing me when certain actions have been completed. I’m terrible at keeping track of time, but I’m great at checking my email, so it’s been extremely helpful. However, it’s only supposed to send emails to me, and I haven’t even been using that AI for a few months now. Besides, the user would have been “hellomynameis_____@aitis.com” where the blank is the ID. I can show you the code in more detail later if you would like

I told you we should’ve hired an in-house IT service, I know outsourcing has been cheaper, and we haven’t had any issues before now, but I feel like an issue like this would have been taken care of by now! I want the two of you to figure this out NOW!

This is the first time we’ve had an issue they haven’t been able to solve, and with how many people we have working remotely, it hasn’t made sense until now. I’m sure we can figure out what’s going on, we have some of the brightest computer science people in the world. I’m sure we can figure out why some email account is sending us threatening messages.
